Don’t we love quotes?
There’s something special and magical about them.
They are full of power and capture the essence of meaning in just a few words.
That’s what I love about quotes – they’re masters of efficiency.
They empower, encourage and motivate us to scale greater heights and spur us to become better versions of ourselves.
I have gathered this collection of motivational quotes (very much like a squirrel eagerly hoarding its nuts). I am presenting them to you with a grand flourish 🙂

I’m a huge fan of Napoleon Hill, so I’m going to start with his quote and end with one of his wise sayings.
“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve” – Napoleon Hill.
Jo: This brings to mind what I have read – before an inventor succeeded, he or she was often ridiculed and branded a hopeless crackpot by countless critics!
However, upon achieving irrefutable proof of success, all the critics were silenced, and the inventor was then highly commended and celebrated!
So, conceive your goals and plans for money success, and believe in them! Brush aside any critics! Keep believing that you’ll succeed. Take action now!
The Science of Success: Napoleon Hill’s Proven Program for Prosperity and Happiness contains valuable insights as to how we can improve our lives. Apply what is taught in this book and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
“It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness” – Charles Spurgeon
Jo: This reminds me of the importance of applying mindfulness in our lives on a regular basis. We can get so caught up in our quest to save more money and accumulate more riches, that we neglect to enjoy the simple pleasures of life e.g. taking an evening walk after dinner, or chatting to family, neighbors and colleagues.
“If you realise that you have enough, you are truly rich” – Lao Tzu
Jo: Wise words indeed from this famous ancient Chinese philosopher. I once read about a wealthy person’s reply to this question: “How much more would be enough for you?” The unwise answer? “A bit more”. Wealth is too often measured in terms of how much money one has – a one-dimensional and overly narrow perspective. True wealth comes with personal contentment with one’s possessions, and having gratitude for what one has.
“A penny saved is a penny earned” – Benjamin Franklin
Jo: Most folks would agree that it’s relatively easier to save than to earn. Making more savings is therefore a great way to make a start towards improving your finances. Small savings soon add up to larger sums, spurring folks to renew their saving efforts.
Remember your childhood piggy-bank? A dime a day soon accumulated into many greenbacks worth of savings 🙂 The same applies to small savings, as they will grow into significant sums.
“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them” – Walt Disney
Jo: Most of us have dreams, but sadly, most of us delay pursuing these dreams. We tend to rationalize away our lack of action, and put our dreams off until we are “free” to do so. Do NOT prioritize merely mundane goals like reaching retirement, or paying off the mortgage. Make your dreams a top priority too– the only one stopping you is often just yourself!
“How you spend your time is more important than how you spend your money. Money mistakes can be corrected but time is gone forever” – David Norris
Jo: Don’t you agree with the wisdom of these words?
Many parents in their pursuit of successful careers have regretted not spending enough time with their children when they were young, only to suddenly realize one day that their little ones have grown up and flown the roost. Sadly we can’t go back in time.
So, begin by practicing mindfulness! Do we need to spend so much time online? Think of really good ways to spend your time that are meaningful to you and your loved ones 🙂
“Strength doesn’t come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn’t” – Rikki Rogers
Jo: Society idolizes those who have achieved a spectacular level of success, such as a young entrepreneur amassing a fortune of several million before reaching 30, or something along those lines.
What’s truly more important is to celebrate your own successes, whether big, medium or small, as long as we are conquering our own challenges. Relate this to the first quote above:
“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve” – Napoleon Hill.
“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference” – Winston Churchill
Jo: Have you read this book Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude?
It is a must-read for anyone who wants to lead a better and more meaningful life. This incredible book was written by none other than Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone.
If you want to change your life, Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude provides you with your blueprint for success. My family have read this book more than once – its powerful messages have inspired us and transformed our mindset for the better.
“Choosing to be positive and having a grateful attitude is going to determine how you’re going to live your life” – Joel Osteen
Jo: How true!
We are more in charge of ourselves than we think! Taking on personal responsibility, developing a positive mental attitude, and working towards our dreams have transformed many lives, and will certainly take you to the next level.
Joel’s books including You Can, You Will: 8 Undeniable Qualities of a Winner and Break Out! 5 Keys to Go Beyond Your Barriers and Live an Extraordinary Life occupy a special place on our family book shelves. There have been so many times in the past when I’d go straight to the bookmarked pages and gain encouragement and comfort just from reading a page or two.
“Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life” – Aristotle
Jo: This is ageless wisdom. Never be over preoccupied with money.
“Money moves from those who do not manage it to those who do” – Dave Ramsey

“Learn from the past. Live in the present. Hope for the future” – Albert Einstein
Jo: Make sure you listen and apply this advice. Your life will never be the same again. When we live our life with this quote in mind, our journey will not only be happier, but meaningful too.
“Learn to be happy with what you have, while you pursue all that you want” – Jim Rohn

“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream” – C. S Lewis
Jo: It’s never too late to pursue your passion in life. Don’t make excuses. Make a start instead.

Jo: When we appreciate what’s happening in our lives, we’ll be able to enjoy more good things coming our way.
“It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters” – Epictetus
Jo: Change the way you live your life. Use this quote to guide you every day and see the difference it makes.
“A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don’t need it” – Bob Hope
“There’s no dream that’s too big” – Lady Gaga
“Doing what you’ve been doing is going to get you what you’ve been getting” – Seth Godin
“Don’t shortchange yourself when it comes to investing in your own better future” – Jim Rohn
Jo : Do your utmost to improve your future.
“Don’t just make money, make a difference” – Grant Cardone
Jo : Don’t forget to enrich the lives of others in your journey towards financial success.
“Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do” – Jim Rohn
Jo : This is a great reminder of how you can achieve real success in your life.
“Love is like money…hard to find, easy to lose” – Ally Mbululo
Jo : It can just be as hard to ‘earn’ someone’s respect and love as it is to earn money.
“Your present circumstances don’t determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start. Don’t let yourself be discouraged by your present situation” – Nido Qubein
Jo: Don’t let yourself be discouraged by your present situation. Know that you can make your own future.
“Wealth is not about having a lot of money; it’s about having a lot of options” – Chris Rock
Jo: Most folks think wealth is having money, but when we think about it, achieving wealth buys us the freedom and time to do what we want.
“Success means having the courage, the determination and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be” – George Sheehan
Jo: Success doesn’t just mean financial freedom, it should also mean the strength to become what you want to be.
“Waste your money and you’re only out of money, but waste your time and you’ve lost a part of your life” – Michael Leboeuf
Jo : While I agree with this quote, it’s best not to waste your money too. This way, you get the best of both worlds.
“Not having money to spend doesn’t mean we can’t have well-spent moments every day” – Sarah Ban Breathnach
Jo : The best things in life are free.
So, there you have it. Look out for Part 2—the exciting conclusion! 🙂
I hope these quotes have inspired you to achieve your dreams and accomplish whatever you’ve set your mind to. Here’s wishing you every success in your money endeavors.
